When Alfa launched the Giulia they could not have known how good it was, no, they must have
known that they had a very special car which was going to do amazing things. It is a phenomenal car
to drive and really gives any driver the feeling that they are a great driver.
To underscore just how good it is the readers of specialist magazine AUTO BILD SPORTSCARS have
chosen the Giulia Quadrifoglio as Sportscar of the Year. The Giulia is a masterpiece of design and
engineering. It is powered by a 2.9l Bi-Turbo V6 which delivers 510 hp and 600 Nm torque to the
wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox, this is kept under control by the Alfa Active Torque
Vectoring system. In RACE mode, which is, of course, the one you will always use, the Giulia shifts
gear in only 150 milliseconds.
In any high-performance car these days it’s not just having a great engine that is important, so Alfa
has fitted all the tech you could need. This includes Alfa Active Suspension, Alfa DNA Pro selector
with RACE mode, and the Alfa Active Aero splitter. These are controlled by the Chassis Domain
Control Unit to ensure the ideal conditions to allow the driver to enjoy the exceptional performance
of the vehicle.
Priced at R1 430 244 the Quadrifoglio is a great buy. If you are car shopping now go look at the
opposition but before you sign anything, pop by your local Alfa dealer and have a good look at this
